Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteers

Over the last couple of months the wildlife wardens have had the welcome assistance of volunteers undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. Several young adults have regularly being providing their labour as part of their volunteering section of the award. Their presence as been very welcome. They have so far, at the Bascote Road Scrubs Nature Reserve, helped construct a timber fence out of trees thinned on site, undertaken litter picking at both Bascote Road and Whites Spinney and also built a hedgehog house at the LILAC field in Long Itchington.
