Woodland Activities and Crafts
Saturday 26th February at 2pm.
(Last chance before bird nesting season begins)
Following on from the previous successful woodland activities’ afternoon at the spinney, here is another chance to help us look after a very special place and join the parish wildlife warden for an afternoon of wildlife conservation activities (subject to no changes to pandemic restrictions).
To keep the spinney in good health some light woodland management is needed. Come along and help prune some of the small trees to make room for more wildlife.
Also, get hands on with a rural craft, making hurdle fences.
None of the activities are physically demanding, and provide an enjoyable way to spend time in the great outdoors!
Please bring loppers and secateurs, plus gloves, stout footwear and suitable outdoor clothing.
Whites Spinney can be found just off the Lias Line Cycleway between Bascote Road and Stonebridge Lane.
More information on Whites Spinney can be found on its own dedicated page.
