Copper Beech on the Green<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThe most noticable features of the green are the statuesque trees that line the the green and the network of paths and roads. These magnificent trees form a central part of the appeal of the green for wildlife and visitors. A variety of tree species are present such as Copper Beech, Lime, Poplar and Oak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Swaythes of grass fill in the space between the trees, with extra special areas set aside as wildflower meadow. These areas have been created to help increase a now rare habitat that will improve the biodiversity of the green. During spring\/summer an increasing variety of wild flowers such as orchids, can be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
