The Lilac (Long Itchington Leisure And Community) field is located in the centre of Long Itchington, close to the green. The field is managed directly by the parish council under the stewardship of the parish maintenance team.
The field is split into two halves, the southern half is for sports and recreational activities, while the northern half is for quieter pursuits and wildlife.
There is a circular walk around the field where the various habitats can be seen. There are areas of wildflower meadow, wetland, pond and orchard. There is also a memorial garden for quiet reflection.
All these areas are sensitively managed to help nature make the most of what has been created. There is plenty of wildlife interest all year round. This makes the field a great place to spend time and appreciate nature.
Access is on foot via Green End or Marton Road. There is good disabled access (though paths may be uneven in places). On site car parking is only available for organised events.
